After a month of packing/unpacking and two very long nights in Vegas, I’ve officially moved to San Francisco. The great thing about this is San Francisco. The bad thing about this is no live shows for the moment as I seek to put a new group together. Interested SF musicians feel free to contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the meantime, I’m psyched to mix our third LP at Tiny Telephone Recording with Jacob Winik (John Vanderslice, Thao and the Get Down Stay Down, Magnetic Fields). We’ll commence just after Christmas and hopefully wrap things up by spring. I’ll be mixing live to tape on a gorgeous board for the first time, which is equally thrilling and terrifying.
That’s all the news that’s fit for print right now… hello SF!
We’ll be making our first trip down to SXSW this year to play two free shows Saturday afternoon March 16 at SHANGRI-LA, 1016 E. 6th St.

The critics have spoken, and so far none have compared Rainbow Records to Rush’s 2112. Let’s keep it that way.
